Instafriday
Yesterday Lindsey of The Pleated Poppy ever so generously "linked up" my WIWW {well, Thursday} post for me because I am still a little bloggy lame and have not figured out how to do that fancy thing.
Today, I decided I. will. learn.
So I am {hopefully} linking up with Jeanett over at Life Rearranged for Instafriday!
So here is my week, via my cell phone:
We had to drain our fountains so that the state will let us finalize our adoption.
Beau and Peeps hung out on the couch.
Peeps decided that she loves Sesame Street.
I saw these in the Nordy's catalog, and decided that I may have to change my mind about Tom's.
I learned how to use Illustrator. Sort of. Well... enough to make a header for my new website. Stay tuned!
Peeps slept. A lot. And didn't like it when she had to wake up to eat.
Beau went rock climbing.
I enjoyed about 20 minutes of heaven... watching The Sound of Music with my two favorite girls.
Donna and I finished working on a new product, and sent it off to the printer! {Eek!}
So that's it. That was my week. Oh and Beau finished 2nd grade, my dad and I finished building my boutique booth, Beau and my dad started painting it, Beau moved up a level in swimming, I cleaned out my garage, and lots of other mundane little things happened.

I had hoped to post this yesterday, but yesterday came and went.
So here is my What I Wore Thursday.
So here is my What I Wore Thursday.
Jeans by CAbi
I can't remember where I got the top... but I know it was cheap and I've had it forever and I wear it all the time. It's comfy.
Shoes by Jessica Simpson
Necklace by Allora Handmade
I love how my Allora necklace turns jeans and a tee into an outfit.

The Great Debate
Last night I went to the grocery store while Nathan stayed home with four sleeping children {we were watching my sister's kids}.
It was not a great time to go to the grocery store. I was hungry. It was one of those trips.
When I got home I pulled out my first of what would be many snacks from my score:
Nathan was apparently disgusted and told me that no one buys 3 Musketeers. He said that getting a 3 Musketeers bar at Halloween is equivalent to getting a toothbrush.
So I posted this on Facebook:
Well apparently there are some strong feelings about candy, because I got 43 comments on my post!
And as it turns out, the majority of my Facebook friends agree with Nathan, but only by a small margin. So I am hopeful that my loyal blog followers will back me up on this one! Let's hear it friends... who out there loves a good 3 Musketeers??? C'mon... the fluffy middle... what's not to like?
Let's hear it for the 3 Musketeers!

You're the Boss: Business Cards
Okay, so I realize that I have never finished my You're the Boss series. It's possible that someday I will get to those last two points. It is possible. But in the meantime I thought we could have a little chat about business cards.
I told you I have been obsessed with Pinterest. I have also told you that I am working on a lot of changes for the shop. So one thing that I have been searching for on Pinterest is cool business cards. It is true that first impressions are lasting and important, and that is true for your business as well. Your business cards should be cute, creative, quality, and most importantly... representative of your business.
Here are a few that I found that make me want to know more about these businesses:
You have to check out the post on this one to see exactly how darling these cards are. These are stand-outs for sure!
I love the simplicity of these cards, and the fact that they are super economical. Plus, if she got tired of this style, she can still use the same stamp to create a whole new look.
I love the extra detail of the bird punch. There are so many shape punches out there these days, you're certain to find one that would suit your business. And while this may look like an expensive option, consider how you could order standard business cards and fancy them up with your favorite shape punch.

Are you kidding me??? First of all, who doesn't love a library pocket card? This is perfection.
{source: FPO}
I love the vintage feel of these cards. Only problem, as FPO points out, is that you would have to have really big pockets to carry your roll of business cards around in.
Are you inspired??? I'm headed over to Etsy now!

More Sneaks
I'm so excited this morning! I finally convinced Nathan to spend a day off working for me, so yesterday we started making some changes to the interior of the calendars. Don't worry... we are not changing the main structure... just some interior decorating.
The Queen Bee Market {which I sure hope to get into} is two months from today, and I can't wait to debut all this newness there!!!
For now... enjoy:
