You weren't asked to the Invite-Only Grand Opening of the new Chick-fil-A?
That's too bad.
For months I've been counting down the days until the new location opens 4.5 miles from my house.
{Yes, I know how far it is.}
For years the closest location to my house was more than a half an hour away.
Last year they opened one up about 15 minutes away... still not close enough!
I don't know if I should be advertising this {because it may just increase the competition}, but next Thursday on their official grand opening, their first 100 customers get free Chick-fil-A for a year!
I have a friend on the inside {her husband is a Chick-fil-A big wig} and she told me people sometimes wait in line for 24 hours to be one of the first 100 customers.
I'm thinking about doing it.
I love Chick-fil-A.
It's yummy.
Plus, I really like how they always say, "My pleasure."
It makes me happy. It is one of my happy places.
The nearest Chicl-fil-A is over an hour away. I envy your 4.5 miles.
ReplyDeleteFrom one Chick-Fil-A lover to another: I say an ad posted for a management position at Chick-Fil-A and decided to apply. Here's my "professional experience":
ReplyDeleteWife/Mom/Fast-Food Connoisseur –The Armour Family; September 1992 - Present
This is my most important role. I currently seek new employment to fulfill the needs of my family. My twelve year old son needs my assistance daily during the school day as he achieves a balance between public school and home school education. Evening hours are perfect for my family. Further, I’m a connoisseur of fast-food restaurants, being a self-proclaimed addict of McDonald’s fountain cokes (simply because Franklin doesn’t have a Chick-fil-A!). My joy would be in continuing the tradition of making Chick-fil-A a fast food restaurant with a warm family atmosphere where customers are cherished, and employees are obviously respected. (Various restaurant experiences during my early work experience.) I have regularly sought out Chick-fil-A restaurants since I first found them during annual vacations to Myrtle Beach, SC as a pre-teen and teenager. During those summers, trips to Krispy Kreme and Chick-fil-A were as important as finding the perfect umbrella location and the ideal t-shirt souvenir! I was overjoyed when Chick-fil-A made it to Greenwood and now it is my daily lunch spot when I’m in town.
I got an interviewed, offered the job on the spot. The "too little pay" held me back, but the owner did offer "your family can eat free whenever you work!" -- now that I have a teenager, that might have been a perk I should have accepted.
Enjoy your chick-fil-a!
