My favorite part about my office is my Mailing Station. Truth be told, I don’t even use it that much because Brooke and Jennifer do most of my shipping, but I just love it.

Isn’t it pretty?

You may not be shipping packages on a daily basis like we do… nonetheless; couldn’t everyone use a cool Mailing Station? I got the hardware from Ikea’s Grundtal kitchen series.

This rail is meant to be a towel rack.

We use it for our packaging tissue.

These cups are meant to be cutlery caddies.

We use it for mailing supplies.

I love re-purposing things in an unexpected way.

By the way, this same type of set-up would be perfect for a gift wrapping station.  You could have another towel rack that could be used as a ribbon rack, and you could even use multiple towel racks for rolls of wrapping paper.

This entire system was less than $40.

By the way, did you know that you can get free Priority or Express Mail supplies from the United States Postal Service? You can also create mailing labels (at a discount) and order a Carrier Pick-up for free! Your mailman will come to your door to pick up a package that doesn’t fit in the tiny, tiny outgoing mail slot. Gil, my Mail Carrier (yes, we are on a first name basis… I told you, we ship packages daily) comes to my door through rain, snow, sleet or hail! Well, in Ladera Ranch I guess rain is usually the worst he has to contend with.

(No, the USPS is not paying me for this sponsorship, but if you work for the USPS and can hook me up... let me know!)

  2. I second the shout-out to Gil! He's the BEST! If we ever move, we are going to have to think of a clever bribe to get him to switch routes!

  4. Oh my gracious you have made me realize what an idiot I am! I've been saying to my husband for months that I'd like him to make me a hanging rack to put my ribbons, elastic rolls, etc on... never even THOUGHT about a regular ole towel rack! GENIUS!
